Blog Post #4: Antiwar

Mainstream Media:

Websites Such as ANTIWAR.COM and American Conservative do indeed have very strong antiwar voices. Most of which are not heard in the media. This being because the mainstream media seeks to tell stories that will grab the attention of viewers. News sources such as Fox and CNN are less interested in telling the hard facts of the world and more interested in making money by telling their version of a juicy story. Many may see this as unfair or bias, and that's because it is. In today's world, many are reluctant to take into consideration antiwar thoughts and opinions. It comes with a very strong aspect of today's world that not many people are ready to come to terms with. While it is uncommon to hear the opinions from this point of view, it isn't impossible nor is it true that these antiwar voices are never heard. Those who desire factual information to strengthen their knowledge will go out of their way to find the correct sources. Just as one would do for the presidential election for example. You can choose the feed into everything that is said by Fox News or you can check out a source such as NPR who's goal is to spread factual and unbiased information.
